Hi, everyone! It’s Shawna here, writing from my little slice of paradise in Wildwood, NJ. If you know me, you know I’m all about soaking up the sun, whether it’s by the pool or at a beach bar with a drink in hand. After all, there’s nothing quite like Wildwood vibes to melt away the stress of city life in Philadelphia.
My family’s house off 15th and Central is my home away from home, and when I’m here, you can bet I’m splitting my time between boutique shopping, nail appointments, and lounging by some of my favorite pool and beach bars. If you’re planning a visit to Wildwood, let me share a few of my go-to spots for the ultimate day of relaxation and fun.

Poolside Paradise: Where to Lounge and Sip
When I want to keep it low-key but still enjoy great drinks and sunshine, I head straight for one of Wildwood’s best poolside spots. Here are a couple of my favorites:
1. The StarLux Poolside Bar
Location: 305 E. Rio Grande Ave., Wildwood
Why I Love It: The retro vibe here is unmatched! It’s perfect for lounging poolside with a frozen daiquiri or piña colada in hand. Whether you’re relaxing in a cabana or taking a quick dip, it’s the perfect mix of chill and fun.
2. ICONA Diamond Beach
Location: 9701 Atlantic Ave., Wildwood Crest
Why I Love It: This place feels like a luxury resort, and I am obsessed! The poolside bar offers craft cocktails that are almost too pretty to drink (almost). The service is amazing, and the atmosphere is pure relaxation.
Beach Bars That Bring the Party
Of course, no Wildwood getaway is complete without hitting up the beach bars. There’s something so freeing about sipping a cocktail with the sand between your toes and the ocean breeze in your hair. These are my top picks for beachside bliss:
1. The Wharf
Location: 708 W. Burk Ave., Wildwood
Why I Love It: The Wharf is a classic. The waterfront views are gorgeous, the live music is always on point, and their happy hour deals make it easy to stay for hours. My favorite drink here? A frozen mango margarita—delish!
2. The Beach Shack at ICONA
Location: ICONA Diamond Beach, Wildwood Crest
Why I Love It: If you haven’t sipped a tropical cocktail while watching the waves roll in, you’re missing out. This spot has a laid-back, toes-in-the-sand vibe, and their rum punch is dangerously good.
3. Keenan’s North Wildwood
Location: 113 Olde New Jersey Ave., North Wildwood
Why I Love It: This is where I go when I want to let loose and dance the night away. It’s lively, energetic, and always a good time. Grab a group of friends, order a round of mojitos, and get ready to make some memories.
My Ideal Wildwood Day
Here’s how I spend a perfect day when I’m in Wildwood:
Morning: A quick trip to one of the local nail salons (because fresh nails are a must!).
Afternoon: Relaxing by the pool at the StarLux with a frozen drink and a good book.
Evening: Watching the sunset with a cocktail at The Wharf, followed by a stop at Keenan’s for music and dancing.
Every time I’m here, I’m reminded of how much I love this place. Wildwood has a way of making you feel like you’re on vacation even when it’s practically home.
What Are Your Favorite Spots?
I’m always looking for new places to explore, so if you have a favorite pool or beach bar in Wildwood, let me know! I’ll be here for as much of the season as I can, enjoying every sunny day and starry night this amazing town has to offer.
Until then, I’ll be poolside, drink in hand, and living my best life. Hope to see you out there!
Xoxo,
Shawna 🍹🌴☀️
