With so many adventures just a short trip away, one of my personal favorites is taking the Cape May-Lewes Ferry for a day trip to Lewes, Delaware. Offering the perfect blend of relaxation, exploration, and delicious food, this outing is truly unforgettable.

The Ferry Experience

The journey begins just a 20-minute drive from the Sea Gypsy to the Cape May terminal. Once aboard, you’ll enjoy stunning views of the Delaware Bay, spotting dolphins and seabirds along the way. The ferry ride takes about 85 minutes, giving you plenty of time to relax on deck or inside the cozy lounge.

The lounge aboard the Cape May-Lewes Ferry offers a cozy and convenient space to enhance your journey across the Delaware Bay. Inside, you'll find a small cafeteria serving a variety of snacks and drinks, perfect for satisfying mid-trip cravings. The lounge also features a fully stocked bar where you can enjoy a refreshing beverage while taking in the view. Additionally, there’s a charming gift shop offering an array of souvenirs, nautical-themed items, and local goodies to commemorate your trip.
